ATHENS, Ohio – It's MAC Championship time for outdoor track and field, wrestling concludes the regular season and men's and women's basketball are back in the Convo for important MAC seeding matchups. Check out everything that's ahead for Ohio Athletics in this week's Paw Prints.
MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Ohio men's basketball team (13-12, 7-5 MAC) return to Athens for the first time in 17 days this week. The Bobcats will host Kent State (13-12, 6-6 MAC) on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center, with the game shown on ESPN+. Ohio is back on the road on Saturday, Feb. 24 when the Bobcats head to DeKalb, Ill. to take on Northern Illinois (9-16, 3-9 MAC). Tip-off is set for 4:30 ET inside the NIU Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+.
This is the Bobcat's second time seeing both teams. Ohio defeated Kent State, 71-64, on the road on Jan. 26, and defeated NIU, 78-66, in Athens on Jan. 6.

The Ohio women's basketball team (7-16, 4-8 MAC) is back in action for two more MAC games this week. The Bobcats start off the week on Wednesday, Feb, 21 when Ohio hosts Kent State (15-7, 10-2 MAC). Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 24 when the Bobcats head to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Buffalo (14-9,7-5 MAC). Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. inside Alumni Arena and can be seen on ESPN+.
Entering this week's matchups, the Bobcats currently sit in eighth-place for the final spot in the 2024 MAC Tournament.
INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

The Ohio track and field team is set for the 2024 Mid-American Conference Championships. This year's championships are hosted by Eastern Michigan and will take place Feb. 23-24 in Ypsilanti, Mich. The two-day event will take place at Bob Parks Track inside Bowen Field House. Both day's events will begin at 10 a.m.
Ohio last competed two weeks ago at the
David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the Marshall Invitational. Ohio's trip highlighted by the women's 4x400m relay team's record-breaking performance. Freshman

WOMEN'S GOLF

The Ohio women's golf team returns to action Feb. 23-25 at the 2024 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational. The three-day event is hosted by Western Michigan and will take place in Rio Verde, Ariz. at the Rio Verde Invitational.
Ohio is coming off a trip to the UNCG/Advance Golf Partners Collegiate. The Bobcats finished in 11th place, shooting 941 (+77) as a team over the three-day tournament. Leading the way for Ohio was freshman
Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio) who shot a 233 (+17) over the three rounds. Rodgers finished in a tie for 28th after shooting rounds of 76 (+4), 80 (+8), and 77 (+5). Her final round of 77 propelled her into the top-30 in the tournament.

The Ohio softball team (6-4) looks to build off a successful weekend in North Carolina this week when they head to Chattanooga, Teen. for the 2024 Front Classic Feb. 23-25. The three-day tournament is hosted by UT Chattanooga and will be played at Frost Stadium. Ohio opens the weekend on Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. against UT Martin (2-4), before wrapping up the day at 12:30 p.m. against Georgetown (6-4). Ohio returns to the diamond on Saturday, Feb. 24 against Texas A&M CC at 10 a.m., before wrapping upt he day against host UT Chattanooga (5-4) at 3 p.m. Ohio concludes the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. against Valparaiso (2-7).
The Bobcats are coming off a successful weekend at the Spiro Classic where they went 5-0 and were named the Spiro Classic champions. Senior
Yasmine Logan had a stellar weekend, hitting .474 with nine hits, two doubles, two homeruns and nine RBI, while senior
Annalia Paoli added three homeruns and six RBI on the weekend.

The Ohio baseball team (2-1) continues the 2024 season this coming weekend. The Bobcats will head to Buies Creek, N.C. for a three-game series against Campbell (2-1). The weekend begins on Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. at Jim Perry Stadium. Ohio is back on the field on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m., before closing the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.
Ohio is coming off a successful opening weekend at Libscomb, that saw the Bobcats go 2-1 at Lipscomb this past weekend.
WRESTLING

Ohio wrestling (7-5) concludes the 2023-24 regular season on Saturday, Feb. 24 when the Bobcats host Buffalo (9-12). The meet is set to begin at 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+. The Meet will serve as Senior Night for the Bobcats.
Ohio is coming off a a comeback 22-17 win over SIUE on Saturday night. After four tight losses to open the meet,
Peyten Kellar recorded a win by fall with 3:52 remaining. It was a crucial six points for the Bobcats, cutting the deficit to seven. Kellar remains undefeated in conference matches and improves to 17-2 overall.
