Ohio Ranked Fourth in MAC Wrestling Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference Announced the Preseason team and individual weight class rankings for the upcoming 2024-25 wrestling season, with Central Michigan as the team favorite.

Provided by WrestleStat, the team and individual rankings will also continue throughout the season.

Ohio was ranked fourth in the preseason voting, finishing just behind George Mason. Central Michigan currently sits in first in the conference and is followed by second-place Lock Haven and third-place George Mason. A look at the full team rankings is listed below.

149 – 6th: Redshirt Sophomore, Derek Raike (Point Pleasant, Ohio)
157 – 1st: Redshirt Junior, Peyten Keller (Cutler, Ohio)
165 – 2nd: Redshirt Junior, Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.)
174 – 8th: Redshirt Freshman, Jeremy Olszko (Northfield, Ohio)
184 – 8th: Redshirt Freshman, Max Ray (Northfield, Ohio)

Ohio wrestling begins the 2024-25 season on Friday, Nov. 2 with a dual against Wisconsin. The dual is set to take place at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse with the competition starting at 8 p.m. EST.
