Ohio Women's Basketball will Conclude their 2022-23 Season Saturday at Home

ATHENS, OH.– The Ohio Women's Basketball team (6-22, 4-13 MAC) will finish out their 2022-23 season at home on Saturday afternoon (3/4) against the Eastern Michigan Eagles (14-14, 6-11 MAC). This will be the final game this year and will be a celebration of the Bobcat seniors. The Senior Day game will be played at the Convocation Center and tipoff is set for 1 pm. The last Mid-American Conference game can be streamed on ESPN3 or followed on livestats.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The Ohio Bobcats will play Eastern Michigan in their second matchup of the season, and 67th recorded game in their teams' history. The current all-time series is led by the Bobcats with 39 wins, and Eastern Michigan trailing with 27. Ohio is looking to grab their 40th win over the Eagles Saturday afternoon.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bobcats last saw the Eagles on February 1st, 2023. In this last time out, the Bobcats beat Eastern Michigan by 10 points, 65-55. The road game took place in Ypsilanti, Mich and it proved to be a back and forth battle. . Yaya Felder grabbed double figures in scoring once more, leading the team with 24 points followed by Abby Garnett with 10. Overall, the Bobcats went 22-of-58 from the field, 7-of-22 from the three, 14-of-18 from the line, and secured 37 rebounds, 10 steals, and 11 assists. The Eagles fell short going 20-of-63 from the field, 3-of-25 from the three, and 12-of-16 from the line. The Bobcats were able to hold strong on defense and limit the eagles offensive chances to pull out the road win.

Eastern Michigan most recently dropped to the Northern Illinois Huskies. The Eagles had 3 players hit double figures in scoring and was led by Lachelle Austin with 16 points, followed by Tayra Eke with 12 points, and Olivia Smith came up with 10 points. Irekpitan Ozzy-Momodu was also a leader for the Eagles with 7 total rebounds and 4 blocks. In terms of steals, Ce'Nara Skanes topped the board with 4, proving to be a defensive threat on EMU.
LEADING EASTERN MICHIGAN
Overall, the Eagles are being led this season by Ce'nara Skanes with 345 total points this season, averaging out to 12.8 a game. YAYA CLAIMS DOUBLE FIGURES
Throughout the 2022-23 season, Ohio's Yaya Felder has reached double figures in 25 out of the Bobcats 28 games. Her highest scoring game was played against Central Michigan on 1/25/23 where she grabbed 40 points for the Bobcats. Felder has dominated Ohio's and the MAC's offense, standing at the top of the league, averaging 21.5 points a game and totaling 603 points over the season.
