DADE CITY, FL -- Ohio's women's golf team finished up their third and final round today (March. 14), at The Spring Break Shootout placing 16th. The golf tournament began on Monday morning (March. 13), consisting of three rounds and 54 holes over the course of two days. The Bobcats concluded the Shootout with a total score of 952 (+100).
The Bobcats started (March. 13), shooting a 319 in round one and a 309 in round two. Their third and final round began Tuesday morning and resulted in a score of 324 (+40). The Bobcat's had another great tournament against some challenging teams from across the nation.
Individually, Sydney Longstreth led the Bobcat's finishing in 59th place tied with two others. Sydney shot a 233 (+20), along with Mackenzie McRee who also finished the tournament shooting a 233 (+20). Following Sydney and Mackenzie was Thanya Arasu in 80th with a score of 243 (+30). Next for the Bobcats was Avery Ovens and Sloane Post tied in 84th, both shooting a 248 (+35).
The first-place golfer for the 2023 Spring Break Shootout in Florida was Ruth Toennessen from Morehead State, completing the tournament with an impressive 210 (-3). The first place team was Western Kentucky with a final score of 862 (+10).

The Ohio women's golf team will head to Pawley's Island in South Carolina later this March to compete in the Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate. The tournament will be three days and begin on March 27th.
