ELKHART, Ind. – Members of the Ohio swimming squad concluded the 2022-23 season this weekend (March 9-11) at the 2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championships.
Junior
Gabrielle Brust (Granville, Ohio) finished 11
th overall in the 50 fly, touching in with a time of 24.47. Junior
Raphaelle Anglade (Toulouse, France) finished 34
th in the preliminary races of the 200 IM, touching in with a time of 2:04.94. In the 50 breaststroke, freshman
Casadie DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio) finished 34
thwith an overall time of 29.18.
Junior
Meg Voigt (Bryan, Ohio) placed 36
th in the 50 free, finishing the race in 23.56. Brust was back in the 100 fly, finishing sixth with a time of 53.87. Then in the 200 freestyle, freshman
Lauren Hartel (Arlington, Va.) finished 31
st with a time of 1:50.66, while DiBetta finished 27
th in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in 1:02.87.
Graduate student
Athena Aravantinou (North Bethesda, Md.) finished the 100 back in 28
th place, finishing with a time of 55.71.
In relays, the Ohio squad placed 12
th in the 400-medley relay, finishing with a time of 3:43.51, while in the 200-medley relay, Ohio placed 27
th in 1:43.09.
