ATHENS, Ohio -- Four members of the Ohio swimming and diving team were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming and Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced this week. Graduate student Caroline Dunigan, juniors Casadie DiBetta and Emily Ellsworth and sophomore Zita Szoke all earned the honor.

This is the second-straight year that Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. Dunigan is working on her master's in athletic training and sports a 3.768 GPA. Dunigan concluded her swim career with her best yet, starting with a MAC Championship in the 200-medley relay with a school record time of 1:36.98. She also placed fourth in the 100 free, third in the 50 free and fourth in the 200 free. She was then a part of the 400-medley relay, 200 free relay and 200 free relay teams that all placed second and all setting new program records in the process. Dunigan's performance helped her earn a spot on the All-MAC First Tea, while helping lead Ohio to a second-place finish at this year's conference championships.

This is the second year that DiBetta (St. Clairsville, Ohio) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. The early childhood education major sports a 3.988 GPA and is coming off another stellar MAC Championships. DiBetta won the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events, earning back-to-back championships in those events. DiBetta finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a school record time of 59.81 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:10.99, also breaking her own Ohio record. DiBetta was also a part of the MAC Champion 200-medley relay race that set the Ohio record with a time of 1:36.98 and competed in the 400-medley relay where Ohio finished second with a school record of 3:34.28. DiBetta also earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team, while helping Ohio place second at the 2025 MAC Championships.

This is the first time Ellsworth (Westerville, Ohio) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. The Community and Public Health major registers a 3.757 GPA and is coming off a strong junior season. At MACs, Ellsworth turned in career-best performances, placing third in the 400 IM with a time of 4:19.50, fifth in the 200 IM (2:01.88) and fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching in with a time of 2:15.38, all personal bests. Ellsworth earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team, with her efforts helped the Bobcats place second at this year's MAC Championships.

This is the first time Szoke (Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary) has earned a spot on the All-District Team. The Linguistics major with a 3.57 GPA, is coming off an historic trip to the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships last week. Szoke became the first Ohio swimmer to earn All-American status since 2000 when she placed 11th overall in the 100 free with a new MAC and Ohio record of 47.62, breaking her own record of 47.63 that she set in the morning prelims. Her 11th place finish is the highest finish at the NCAA Championships from a MAC swimmer this season, and it's the highest finish for a Bobcat since 1995 when Hall of Famer Lisa MacNicol (Mitchell) placed 11th in the 100 fly.

Szoke also competed in the 200 free where she placed first in her heat with the 1:44.54 time and in 50 free, placing third in her heat – 44th overall – with a time of 22.26. Szoke was also named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) Second Team All-American.
