Biography

2022-23: Competed in seven meets… Finished seventh in the 200-yard backstroke at the Mid-American Conference Championships… Finished 28th in the 200-yard backstroke at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships… Named Academic All-MAC. 

2021-22:  Made the Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC team with a 3.668 cumulative GPA… Placed second in the 200-yard backstroke, 10th overall in the MAC Championships touching in at 1:59.63… Finished the 200 free 'B' final in sixth, 14th overall, with a time of 1:51.25. 

2020-21: Did not compete.

2019-20: Opened season with 100 back time of 58:02 at 2019 Ohio State Fall Open… Recorded season-best times in 100 back (55.56), 200 back (2:04.77) and 200 IM (2:09.47) at 2020 MAC Championships… Academic All-MAC.

2018-19: Recorded season-bests in the 100 back with a time of 55.77, 9th fastest in program history, in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.67, 6th fastest in program history, in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:40.08 that holds 3rd fastest time in program history and 200 medley relay with a time of 1:41.38 that holds 10th fastest time in program history at the MAC Championships… Recorded her best time in the 100 fly against Miami clocking in at 1:03.58… Recorded her best time in the 200 IM against Akron clocking in at 2:12.13..Recorded her best 400 free relay time of 3:31.64, 200 free relay with a time of 1:38.80 and 800 free relay with a time of 7:39.61 at the OSU Invitational. 

Prior to Ohio: French Junior National Championship Gold medalist, Aravantinou posted a 100-meter backstroke time of 1:04.44 and a 2:19.05 200-meter backstroke time at the 2017 NCSA Summer Championships. In addition, Aravantinou earned a 100-yard backstroke time of 56.51 at the 2017 NCSA Spring Championships. Athena also earned a Silver medal in the 400-meter medley relay at the 2017 NCSA Summer Championships.

Personal: Plans to major in International Buisness.
