Ohio Women's Golf Finishes the 2nd Round of the 2022 Jennifer Duke Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Ohio women's golf team finished their second round of competition at the 2022 Jennifer Duke Invitational earlier today (Sept. 12). As a team, the Bobcats held steady tying for 7th place with Akron after 36 continuous holes. Overall, the Bobcats ended the day shooting a 635 (+67) and Western Kentucky topped the leader board in first shooting a 598 (+8).
Mackenzie McRee led the Bobcats individually shooting an 78 in her first round and a 77 in her second round; totaling to 155 (+13) to end day one of the Invitational. Her performance of 155 (+13) puts her in a tie for 16th place with 18 holes of competition remaining.
Avery Ovens ended the day tied in 27th place, shooting a 77 in the first round and an 80 in the second. Her total for the two rounds is 157 (+15) at the Losantiville Country Club.
Sydney Longstreth ended the day tied in 40th place with an overall score of 160 (+18) and Mariana Vega-Rivera finished out the two rounds in 46th shooting a 163 (+21). Tied in 55th place, Sloane Post and Thanya Arasu carded an overall score of 166 (+24) at the end of the day.
The Bobcats will wrap up play tomorrow (Sept. 13), with a shotgun start at 8:45 am. They will play a third and final round with an award ceremony to follow. Follow along in real time with live scoring click here.
