
Regan Berg Awarded MAC Offensive Player of the Week

ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio's Senior Regan Berg (Kalamazoo, MI), was announced the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week this afternoon (Oct. 4). Berg's offensive performance made the Bobcat's Record book this past Sunday (Oct. 2), scoring only the 4th hat-trick in program history.  Berg was responsible for scoring all 3 Bobcat goals leading them to a 3-2  MAC win.Â
In the EMU matchup (Oct. 2), Berg's first goal was in response to the Bobcat's being down 1-0 in the first half against EMU; this goal was unassisted and came in the 20th minute of play. Berg's second goal was in minute 52 that landed in the bottom right of the net and was ssisted by Abby Toownsend. Lastly, in the 88th minute of play tied at 2 all, Regan Berg scored her third and final goal off a corner kick and led the Bobcat's to victory.
During the past week's Miami game (Sept. 29), Berg recorded 2 shots for the Bobcat's, helping them defeat their rival Redhawk's 2-0. Berg and the Bobcat's will continue their offensive pressure this season with a lot of MACtion left to play. Â
Ohio is back home on Chessa Field this Thursday, October 6th for another MAC conference game against Northern Illinois. First touch will be at 4pm.Â
