BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ohio men's and women's cross country teams took second and first today (Oct. 14) at the Falcon Invite hosted by Bowling Green State University. The men competed in the 8k, while the women ran a 6k.
On the men's side, junior
Michael Tonkovich finished first for the Bobcats, taking second place with a time of 24:58.0. Following Tonkovich was graduate student
Ethan Frisone who grabbed 14
th, clocking a 25:42.8. Other scorers for Ohio were
Wendesen King,
Connor Wertman, and
Jack Myers with times of 25:49.6, 26:05.7, and 26:07.8.
Leading the first-place women's team was freshman
Alyssa Mason, who took fifth place with a 21:36.2. Meanwhile, freshman
Leila Boussedra placed seventh with a 21:39.7 and sophomore
Theresa Hagey finished eighth with a 21:44.4. Fifth year
Madelyn Bartolone and freshman
Allie Martin also scored for the Bobcats, finishing 12
th and 14
th, while clocking a 22:05.6 and a 22:08.9.
