ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio men's and women's cross country teams experienced success at the Panorama Farms Invitational and Falcon Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17.
PANORAMA FARMS INVITATIONAL
Both the women and men earned impressive teams finishes. The women's team placed fourth out of 16 teams, beating No. 2 NC State. The women finished behind No. 12 Virginia, Virginia Tech and Elon. The men's team placed fifth out of 15 teams. The men finished behind No. 4 Virginia, Virginia Tech, No. 10 Wake Forest and Charlotte.
Senior
Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio) led Ohio in the women's 6k race, placing 24
th out of 154 runners with a time of 21:05.1. Seniors
Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio),
Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.) and graduate student
Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) crossed the finish line right after Boussedra. Mason placed 26
th (21:05.8), Martin placed 27
th (21:10.4) and Hagey finished in 28
th place (21.11.1). Sophomore
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) came in 32
nd place (21:21.1). Junior
Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) rounded out the top 50 for Ohio, finishing in 41
st place (21:33.3, PR).

Andrew Bracken (Westerville, Ohio) led Ohio in the men's 8k race, placing 33
rd out of 162 runners with a time of 24:26.4. Junior
Nick Kennedy (Hurricane, W. Va.) was the second Bobcat to cross the finish line in 53
rd place with a time of 24:56.1. Senior
Sam Beeler (Cincinnati, Ohio) followed behind Kennedy in 55
th place (25:01.5). Sophomore
Michael Dellasanta (Columbus, Ohio) came in 61
st place with a time of 25:05.1). Freshman
Tate Ruthers (Thornville, Ohio) finished in 67
th place (25:07.9) and junior
Marcus Runkle (Bremen, Ohio) finished in 68
th place (25:08.4).
FALCON INVITATIONAL
Sophomore
Jack Mills (Parkersburg, W. Va.) and junior
Ryan Blohm (Morgantown, W. Va.) represented Ohio in the men's 8k race. Mills finished in 68
th place with a time of 27:51.8 and Blohm finished in 72
nd place with a time of 28:02.9.
Senior
Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) and sophomore
Sophie Lane (Hillard, Ohio) represented Ohio in the women's 6k race. Doughman finished in 23
rd place with a time of 22:31.2 and Lane finished in 83
rd place with a time of 25:12.8.
The Bobcats will be back in action at the Wild Bill Invitational on Friday, Oct. 24.
