ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio wrestling team returned to the Convocation Center today (Jan. 22) to take on the Navy. Unable to hold onto their lead, the Bobcats fell 21-14.
The first dual of the day went into overtime. At 125 pounds, redshirt sophomore
Oscar Sanchez (Genoa, Ohio) clinched a 3-1 sudden victory with a takedown. At 141, graduate student
Mario Guillen (Perrysburg, Ohio) picked up a 6-4 victory by decision.

Alec Hagan (Eureka, Mo.) was dominant on the mat, securing another Bobcat victory at 149 pounds with a technical fall. At 174 pounds, freshman
Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) defeated his opponent with an 8-5 victory by decision.
UP NEXT
The Bobcats return to action tomorrow (Jan. 23) to take on Davidson College at 1 p.m. Prior to the match, the team is hosting a free youth clinic at the Convocation Center at 11:30 a.m.
