SORRENTO, Fla. â€" The Ohio women’s golf team finished the 2016 MSU Spring Citrus Challenge, hosted by Morehead State, in 13th place after shooting a third round score of 308 for a three-day total of 927 (+63).
Western Kentucky came away as tournament champions after finished the event with a three-day score of 899 (+35).
Leading the Bobcats was junior Hailey Hrynewich (Muskegon, Mich.) who finished tied for 13th place after shooting a 77 on Tuesday to finish the tournament +9 (225).
Senior Angela Codian (Massillon, Ohio) finished tied for 26th place after shooting a third-round of 77 to finish with a three-day total of 228 (+12).
Sophomore Lily Pendy (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) shot a third round of 78 to finish the tournament with a total score of 237 (+21), which tied her for a 70th-place finish. Freshman Emily Hughes (Columbus, Ohio) also finished the tournament tied for 70th place after shooting a 76 on Tuesday, giving her a total tournament score of 237 (+21).
Senior Lauren McKinzie (Medina, Ohio) finished the tournament in 110th place after registering an 88 on Tuesday, giving her a three-day total of 251 (+35).
Freshman Nicole Smiley (Dublin, Ohio) competed unattached, finishing the competition in 113th place after registering a 90, 83 and 82 in the three rounds for a tournament total of 255 (+39).
Up next, the Bobcats will take a week off and then head to Richmond, Ky. April 1-2 for the 2016 Lady Colonel Classic.
