KETTERING, Ohio â The Ohio womenâs golf team wrapped up the first day of competition at the 2016 Dayton Flyer Invitational in fifth place after shooting a 313 (+33) during Mondayâs (Oct. 17) first round.
Leading Ohio is Hailey Hrynewich (Muskegon, Mich.), who is tied for ninth place after shooting a first round score of 76 to finish the day +6.
Up next for the Bobcats is Marissa Balish (Allison Park, Pa) who shot a 78 (+8) on Monday, tying her for 20th place after the first day. Lily Pendy (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) also sits tied for 20th place after also finishing the first round of the tournament by shooting a 78 (+8).
Nicole Smiley (Dublin, Ohio) finished Monday with a first round score of 81 (+11), tying her for 45th place.
Rounding out the scoring Bobcats is Jessica McRae (Medina, Ohio), who wrapped up the first round +17 after shooting a day one total of 87 to finish the day tied for 73rd place.
Competing unattached for Ohio is Hannah Travis (Lancaster, Ohio) who finished the day tied for 53rd place after shooting a first round score of 83 to finish the day +13.
The Bobcats conclude play at the 2016 Dayton Flyer Invitational tomorrow (Oct. 18) with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
