YORKTOWN, Ind. - The Ohio women's golf team finished the 2015 Cardinal Classic in seventh place after shooting a final round of 297 for a three-round total of 911 (+41).
Eastern Kentucky won the tournament by finishing the competition at +3 (867).
Leading the Bobcats was sophomore Lily Pendy (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) and senior Angela Codian (Massillon, Ohio) who both finished the day tied for 20th place. Pendy shot a 73 on Tuesday to finish +10 (226) and Codian shot a final round score of 74 to also finish +10 (226).
Junior Hailey Hrynewich (Muskegon, Mich.) shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish the tournament with a three-day total of 228 (+12) and a 23rd-place finish.
Freshman Emily Hughes (Columbus, Ohio) finished the tournament tied for 30th place after shooting a 76 on Tuesday to finish the competition at 231 (+15).
Freshman Nicole Smiley (Dublin, Ohio) rounded out the Bobcat five by shooting a 78 to finish the tournament with a three-round total of 237 (+21) and tying for 51st place.
Up next, the Bobcats will be competing in the Rocket Classic in Port Clinton, Ohio on Oct. 5-6.
