NASHPORT, Ohio - After steady play in the first two rounds, the Ohio women's golf team continued their consistency, finishing tied for fourth place overall at the 2010 MAC Fall Preview with a final score of 648.
Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) continued her strong play from the first two rounds as she tied for tenth place with Toledo's Michelle Hui with an overall score of 158. Jordan Fesh (Toledo, Ohio) climbed her way up to a tie for 15th with an overall score of 162, while Meryl Weaver's (Canton, Ohio) score of 164 landed her tied for 25th. Kara Brinkman (Middletown, Ohio) finished with a 165 overall, finishing tied for 29th, while Sarah Tranelli (Penfield, N.Y.) finished tied for 38th with a 170.
Both Western Michigan and Akron maintained their first and second place spots as they finished with overall scores of 624 and 632, respectively. Toledo jumped up to third place with a score of 637 after finishing fifth in the first two rounds. Akron's Hannah Ek won the event with a 149, while teammate Kristen Hill took third place overall with a 152. Western Michigan's Britney Hamilton finished in a close second place with a score of 151.
Ball State finished tied for fourth with the Bobcats, while Eastern Michigan finished tied for sixth place with a score of 650. Seventh place Xavier scored a 651 and Northern Illinois finished 8th with a 673. Bowling Green took 9th with a score of 675 while Cleveland State rounded out the list at tenth with a 701.
With fall play complete, Ohio will now prepare to compete in the upcoming spring season.
