BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Freshman Megan Weaver and sophomore Erin Cahill both capped off top-10 individual finishes on Wednesday to lead the Ohio University women's golf team to a final-round 325 and a second-place finish at the Falcon Invitational, its final outing before the Mid-American Conference Championships.

The Bobcats finished the tournament with a team total of 646 (+70), just seven strokes behind tournament winner Toledo.

Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) shot 81 on Wednesday to finish the tournament in a tie for second with a mark of 157 (+13), earning the first top-five finish of her collegiate career. Weaver's second-round effort qualified her for a three-way playoff for the Bobcats' first individual medal since 2004, though she was unable to best Toledo's Michelle Hui for the honor. Wednesday also turned out to be a good day for Weaver's twin sister, Meryl, who tied for seventh with a total of 162 (+18) while playing as an individual.

Sophomore Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) also shot 81 (+9) on Wednesday to finish the tournament in a tie for ninth with a score of 163 (+19), marking her first top-10 effort of the season. Senior Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) finished in a tie for 11th with a total of 165 (+21), while junior Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) took 17th with a mark of 167 (+23) and sophomore Jordan Fesh (Toledo, Ohio) checked in at 169 (+25), which was good for a 19th-place tie.

Junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) also played as an individual at the Falcon Invitational, finishing 23rd with a tally of 171 (+27).

With its regular season complete, Ohio will head to Nashport, Ohio, and Longaberger Golf Club next weekend for the MAC Championships, hosted by Kent State.
