BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Despite heavy rains and temperatures in the mid 40s, the Ohio University women's golf team carded a 321 (+33) in the first round of the Falcon Invitational to claim second place after 18 holes of play. The second round of the tournament, also scheduled for Tuesday, was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Bobcats will enter play on Wednesday just five strokes behind tournament leader Toledo, and with an eight-stroke cushion on host Bowling Green.

Freshman Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) stands along atop the leader board after Tuesday's action, carding a career-best 76 (+4) to hold a one-stroke lead over Erica Rivard of Toledo and teammate Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio), who both shot a first-round 77.

Freshman Meryl Weaver (Canton, Ohio), seeing the first action of her career, is within striking distance of her sister after posting a first-round 80 (+8) to finish just four strokes off the pace. Sophomore Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) finished the day in a tie for 11th place with a 10-over 82, while junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) carded an 85 (+13) to wrap up the first round in a 17th-place tie.

The final round of the Falcon Invitational will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
