BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Led by Meredith Waterston, who is tied for first place, the Ohio women's golf squad is in fifth after 36 holes at a windy Falcon Invitational.

At the tournament hosted by Bowling Green, winds between 20 and 30 miles per hour plagued play throughout the day at Stone Ridge Golf Course, which caused high scores across the board. Although Ohio is plus-125 as a team at 701, but will enter Tuesday's final round just 13 strokes behind overall leader Cincinnati, which shot a 688.

Waterston (Bloomington, Minn.) is tied with Cincinnati's Hillery Wilson for the individual lead after 36 holes with a plus-18 162 in the field of 70 individuals. They both recorded 80s in the first round, the lowest scores of the tournament to this point, and then finished Monday's action with 82s.

Kristen Mautz (Upper Arlington, Ohio) joins Waterson in the top 10 after two rounds. She shot a 172 to tie for 10th with Ball State's Kallie Harrison.

Katie Stafford (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Shanna Siefke (Toledo, Ohio) came in third and fourth on Ohio's card on Monday. Stafford shot a 183 to tie for 41st and Siefke was two strokes behind her in a tie for 47th.

Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) and Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) also turned in 36 holes for the Bobcats on Monday. Curran is tied for 52nd with a 188 and Bergman has a 191 to tie for 56th.

If Waterston is able to capture the individual medal on Tuesday, it would be the first of her career, and would mark the first tournament title for any golfer on Ohio's roster.

Tuesday's third and final round is scheduled to commence at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
