BATAVIA, Ohio - Dealing with rain, wind and cold temperatures, the Ohio women's golf team carded a 336 on Monday to stand in fourth place heading into Tuesday's final round of the 11-team Cincinnati Fall Classic at the Elks Run Golf Course.
Bobcat senior Julie Tomlinson (Noblesville, Ind.) is tied for fourth out of 56 individual competitors after shooting a 76 Monday while junior Meredith Waterston (Bloomington, Minn.) fired an 82 to tie for 15th after 18 holes. Ohio senior Ana Brown (West Chester, Ohio) is 21st with an 85 and juniors Kristen Mautz (Upper Arlington, Ohio) and Shanna Siefke (Toledo, Ohio) are tied for 37th at 93.
After posting a team score of 310, Toledo holds a three-stroke lead over Bradley while event host Cincinnati is third at 322. Trailing the Bobcats are Youngstown State (343), Cleveland State (346), Bowling Green (354), Cincinnati B (375), Robert Morris (377), Loyola (377) and South Carolina State (444).
Toledo's Tammy Clelland shot a one-over-par 73 to lead all competitors on the par-72, 6,135-yard course. The only other golfers to score better than Ohio's Tomlinson were Cincinnati's Hillery Wilson and Bradley's Meaghan LeBlanc, who are tied for second at 74.
The Bobcats will play their final round of the fall on Tuesday. Tee times begin at 9 a.m.
