2024-25: Played in 24 games for the Bobcats during the season, making 17 starts…Averaged 13.2 points a game, while shooting 45.3 percent from the field, 39.7 percent from three and 82.8 percent from the line…Averaged 3.2 rebounds a game, while recording 61 total assists and 44 total steals on the season…Scored a career-high 27 points against Akron on Jan. 17…Hit a career-high nine made field goals and four made threes against Kent State on Feb. 14…Scored in double figures 20 times during the season, including four 20+ point games…Recorded a season-high eight rebounds against CMU on Feb. 18…Scored his 1,000th career point at Toledo on March 7…Named All-MAC Honorable Mention…Named to the MAC All-Defensive Team…Named Academic All-MAC.
2023-24: Played in 32 games, while making 31 starts in his first year with the Bobcats…Averaged 13.3 points a game in 29.8 minutes on the court…Shot .470 from the field, 327 from three and .731 from the line…Averaged 4.2 rebounds and grabbed 45 steals and dished out 77 assists with seven blocks…Scored a career-high 24 points against Brown in the Baha Mar Nassau Hoops Championship (11/26)…Grabbed a career-high nine rebounds against Kent State (2/20) and snagged a career-high six steals against WMU in the MAC Quarterfinals (3/14)…Named MAC Player of the Week.
PRIOR TO OHIO: In his four seasons at Creighton, the elite Big East defender played in 99 games for the Bluejays, while making four starts. He averaged 11.8 minutes a game and is a career 71.0 percent free throw shooter. In his time at Creighton, Mitchell played in seven NCAA Tournament games, including five wins, which is the second-most in Creighton program history. This season, Mitchell helped lead the Bluejays to the elite Eight, where they fell to the eventual national runners-up, San Diego State by one point.
Prior to his time at Creighton, Mitchell played for Omaha Burke High School and was named the Nebraska's Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. He was also named an honorary captain of the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star's All-Nebraska teams in 2017-18.
