2020-21*: Played in all 14 matches for the Bobcats, starting one of them…Recorded three assists, tied for second on the team…Recorded first assist of the season on Mar. 26 in win against Central Michigan…Named to NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction… Named Academic All-MAC.
2019: Played in three matches for the season… Recognized as one of the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction for achieving a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.
Prior to Ohio: Four-year starter and letter winner at Olentangy Liberty High School...Captained the team for the 2018 season moving from defense to midfield and scoring 18 goals, 16 assists and 1 defensive saves that season with a total 23 goals, 24 assists and 3 defense saves over all four seasons...Played on a team that advanced to the Ohio Field Hockey Final Four in 2016...Scholar athlete 2015-2018...Played for Field Hockey Life Club for four years winning Regional Club Championships in 2018 and 2019. Â
Personal: Born May 9, 2001...Daughter of Mike and Cinnamon Sakich...Has one brother, Clay, who is also attending Ohio University...Also participated in Track and Field earning 4 varsity letters, advancing to the State Regional Finals all four years and part of the school record-holding 4x100 meter relay team...Played 6 years AA travel men’s ice hockey through the 2015-2016 season for the Columbus Chill Youth Hockey Association...Member of the National Honor Society 2018 and 2019. Favorite athlete is Fredrik Modin. Favorite team is Columbus Blue Jackets...Majoring in Mathematics, Actuarial Science with a minor in Finance.
