Three Ohio Women's Golf Members Named WGCA All-American Scholars

ATHENS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio women's golf team were named to the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced. Juniors Morgan Rodgers and Zoe Luebbers and freshman Katie Husted all earned the honor.Â
In total, 1,551 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this honor.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
This season, Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio), an accounting major with a 3.88 GPA, competed in all 11 matches and was the lowest finisher in five events. Luebbers finished tied for first at the Brittany Kelly Classic, shooting a 218 (+2), and helped Ohio finish first at the 2025 Rocket Classic. At the MAC Championships, Luebbers was the lowest-finishing Bobcat, tied 21st, with an overall score of 222 (+12). Luebbers was also named Academic All-MAC and named to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team.Â
Rodgers' (Centerville, Ohio), a journalism news and information major sports a 3.934 GPA, competed in 11 matches for the Bobcats and was the lowest-finishing Bobcat at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge, placing tied for 40th with a score of 229 (+16). Rodgers' best finish came at the 2025 Rocket Classic, where she finished fourth, helping Ohio take home the first-place finish. At the MAC Championship, Rodgers finished tied for 43rd with an overall score of 236 (+26) and was named the 2026 MAC Women's Golf Sportswoman of the Year. Rodgers was also named Academic All-MAC and named to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team.
In her first season with the Bobcats, Husted (Columbus, Ohio), an interior architecture major with a 3.956 GPA, competed in six matches for the Bobcats. She shot a season average of 81.94. At the 2025 Rocket Classic she helped the Bobcats win the Classic shooting a 148 (+4), finishing in second place.Â
