Luebbers Remains Strong for the Bobcats After Two Rounds of Competition at MAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio – The Ohio Women's Golf team wrapped up day two of competition at the Mid-American Conference Championships Monday afternoon (Apr. 27) at Firestone Country Club, in Akron, Ohio. After round two of play, the Bobcats drop one spot into ninth place. Junior Zoe Luebbers continues to shine in round two, shooting an impressive 73 (+3), improving on her score from round one.
As a team, Ohio shot a round two score of 311 (+32), tallying a total score of 614 (+54), falling one spot into ninth place. Kent State still leads after day two, shooting four under (556) as a team. Individually, Kent State's Veronika Kedronová also remains in the top spot, shooting a 69 (-1), with an overall score of 136 (-4).
For the Bobcats, Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio) remains tied 21st after shooting a 70 (+3) in round two, with two birdies, bringing her overall score to 147 (+7).
Junior Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio) and freshman Paige Treherne (Cincinnati, Ohio) both finished day two of competition tied 41st. Rodgers shot an 81 (+11) in the second round, including a birdie on hole 15. Treherne shot a round two score of 80 (+10) with two birdies. Both Rodgers and Treherne have an overall score of 157 (+17) heading into the final round.
Sophomore Ally Turner (Miamisburg, Ohio) ended day two of competition with a score of 83 (+13), including a lone birdie on hole 16. This brings Turner's overall score to 158 (+18) and puts her tied 45th heading into tomorrow's final round.
Senior Mackenzie McRee (Tucson, AZ) moves up one spot from yesterday, with a round two score of 78 (+8), including a hole nine birdie, bringing her overall score to 159 (+19), putting her in 47th place.
McRee will tee off first for the Bobcats in the final round of competition, teeing off from Firestone Country Club at 9:30 a.m. Everyone else in the lineup will tee off every nine minutes after McRee.
