WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Ohio women's track & field concluded an extremely successful two day of competition at the Wake Forest Invitational on Friday, April 17.
Junior
Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) was Ohio's top performer of the day, breaking her own school record in the women's 1500m. Greenwell won section two of the women's 1500m invite with a career-best time of 4:16.92.
Two Bobcats recorded top five program times in the women's 1500m open. Sophomore
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) ran the third-fastest time in program history (4:26.33, PR), placing second in her section. Senior
Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) won her section with a personal-best performance of 4:27.37, which is also the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Junior
Elinor Shuttleworth (Beavercreek, Ohio) placed eighth in the women's 400m with a PR of 56.31.
Sophomore
Emma Hayes (Pomeroy, Ohio) kicked off the field events with a personal-best mark of 31.74 meters (104-1).
Sophomore
Lauren Mader (Green Bay, Wis.) took home sixth place in the women's discus with a mark 47.01 meters (154-2). Sophomore
Kiyah Baker (Troy, Ohio) recorded a personal-best mark of 12.58 meters (41-3.25) in the women's shot put.
The Bobcats will be back in action at the Jim Freeman Clark Wood Invitational on Thursday, April 23.
