Ohio Swim and Dive Competes at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships

OCALA, Florida. – The Ohio swim team traveled to Ocala, Florida, this past week (Mar. 12-14) and concluded their season at the 2026 CSCAA National Invitational Championships, at the FAST Facility. Overall, Ohio finished in 22nd place, scoring 172 total points.

In the first event, Thursday night, the Bobcats' 200-yard free relay, consisting of freshman Tori Wittenberg (Medford, N.J.), sophomore  Jordan Claypoole (Parkersburg, WV), junior Katie Buroker (Zionsville, Ind), and junior Melanie Schweikert (Maineville, Ohio), finished in 7th place with a time of 1:32.65.

In the 50-yard backstroke, freshman Lily Baumgartner (Ada, Ohio) finished third in the consolation final, 13th overall, with a time of 25.37.

Wittenberg competed in the 50-yard freestyle consolation final, earning a seventh-place finish, 17th overall, with a time of 23.31.

In finals on Friday night, the Bobcat 200-yard medley relay, consisting of sophomore Leah Guess (Hartville, Ohio), Buroker, Claypoole, and Wittenberg, finished in 28th place with a time of 1:43.68.

Two Bobcats swam in the 100-yard backstroke consolation final, with Baumgartner finishing second in the consolation final, 12th overall, with a time of 53.97, and Schweikert finishing fifth in the consolation final, 15th overall, with a time of 54.40.

In the 800-yard freestyle relay, freshman Katrina Kollin (Dublin, Ohio), sophomore Ashlyn Morr (Galena, Ohio), freshman Jana Macik (Aldie, Va), and sophomore Juliana Slaninka (Mentor, Ohio) finished in 14th with a time of 7:23.56.

On the final day of competition, Schweikert started off the night in the 200-yard backstroke final, where she finished in eighth place with a time of 1:57.41.
Macik competed in the 200-yard butterfly final in ninth place with a time of 2:01.78.

In the final event of the night, the 400-yard freestyle relay consisting of Morr, Wittenberg, Claypoole, and Buroker finished in 19th place with a time of 3:24.28.

To finish out the 2025-2026 season, junior Zita Szoke and senior Casadie DiBetta will compete in the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, March 18-21 at Georgia Tech University. Szoke and DiBetta will both compete in multiple events for the Bobcats.
