ATHENS, Ohio-- The final Division 1 weight class rankings of the regular season were released on Tuesday (Feb. 24), where four Bobcats are recognized among the best in the country at their weight class. Below is how the Bobcat wrestlers ranked heading into the MAC Championships, according to Intermat, FloWrestling, and College Wrestling Report:
- 157 lbs. – 28th/26th/25th: Redshirt junior Derek Raike (Point Pleasant, W. Va.)
- 174 lbs. – 33nd/22nd/33rd Redshirt senior Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.)
- 184 lbs. – 14th/18th/17th: Redshirt senior Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio)
- 197 lbs. – 19th/26th/20th: Redshirt senior Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio)
Raike surged up the rankings this week following a 7-3 decision victory over previously 20
th ranked Kaleb Burgess of Buffalo at 157 lbs. in Saturday night's dual. In addition, Perrine and Lehman both recorded technical fall victories at 184 and 197 lbs, respectively.
All four ranked grapplers will travel to Buffalo, N.Y. next week in search of a MAC title. The 2026 MAC Wrestling Championships will take place March 6-7 on the campus of the University of Buffalo, with streaming and live stats information to be announced.
