KEWADIN, Mich.- The Ohio Women's Golf Team opened the 2025-2026 season in historic fashion at the 2025 A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan on August 31 and September 1 at the Sundance Golf Course. The Bobcats' lineup of freshman Paige Treherne, junior Zoe Luebbers, junior Morgan Rodgers, senior Mackenzie McRee and sophomore Saylor Wharff finished the tournament in fifth place overall with a score of 892 (+28). Luebbers and McRee both finished the weekend in the top 10.
Bowling Green (+9) took home the win, followed by Bradley (+17), Western Michigan (+25), and Oakland (+26).
As a team, Ohio opened the first round on Sunday morning with a 287(-1), recording the second-best single-round score in program history. The Bobcats led the invitational going into the second round, which was later Sunday afternoon. After the second round, the Bobcats shot a 301 (+13) and finished out the day in second place. Ohio teed off Monday morning and finished the invitational shooting a 304 (+16).
Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the Bobcats at the invitational, recording a round one score of 69 (-3) and a round two score of 73 (+1), and finished the day in second place. On Monday, Luebbers recorded a score of 74 (+2), completing the invitational shooting a score of 216 (E) and placing tied for fifth.
McRee (Tucson, AZ) finished next, recording rounds of 70 (-2) and 73 (E) on day one, coming out of the day in fourth place. On the second day, McRee shot a 75(+3), finishing the invitational placing tied for seventh with a score of 218 (+2).
Individually, Ally Turner (Miamisburg, Ohio) placed tied 32nd, shooting rounds of 73 (+1), 82 (+10) on day one, and 74 (+2) on day two, finishing the weekend shooting a 229 (+13).
Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio) left the invitational tied for 32nd, opening with a score of 73 (+1), shooting an 81 (+9) in round two, and 75 (+3) in the final round, concluding the weekend with an overall score of 229 (+13).
Treherne (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed 58th overall, shooting rounds of 85(+13), 74 (+2), and 80 (+8) and finishing with a score of 239 (+23).
Wharff (Marietta, Ohio) placed tied 65th overall, shooting rounds of 75 (+3), 82 (+10), and 86 (+14), finishing with a score of 243 (+27).
The Bobcats are back in action September 15-16 in Yorktown, Ind., at the 2025 Brittany Kelly Classic hosted by Ball State at The Players Club Golf Course.
