ATHENS, Ohio – Five members of the Ohio baseball team have been named to the 2025 Baseball Academic All-District Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The five honorees include senior
Hudson Boncal (Corona, Calif.), sophomore
Trae Cassidy (Northville, Mich.), redshirt senior
Nick Dolan (Pittsburgh, Pa.), graduate student
Trenton Neuer (Nicholasville, Ky.) and senior
Tyler Peck (Oak Creek, Wis.).
Hudson Boncal graduated with a bachelor's degree in Strategic Leadership & Management and achieved a GPA of 3.559. During the 2025 season, Boncal made 14 appearances and 11 starts on the mound. He pitched 79.0 innings, recorded three wins and 68 strikeouts.
Trae Cassidy is working towards a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and currently has a GPA of 3.698. Cassidy played in 48 games and made 47 starts this past season. He recorded 25 runs, 28 RBIs and 53 hits including 15 doubles, one triple and two home runs.
Nick Dolan graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and achieved a GPA of 3.590. Dolan played in 44 games and made 44 starts this past season. He recorded 29 runs, 23 RBIs and 39 hits including four doubles and nine home runs.
Trenton Neuer is working towards a master's degree in Management and currently has a GPA of 3.904. Neuer played in 46 games and made 41 starts this past season. He recorded 29 runs, 22 RBIs and 41 hits including seven doubles and one home run.
Tyler Peck graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and achieved a GPA of 3.933. During the 2025 season, Peck made 18 appearances and one start on the mound. He pitched 28.2 innings, recorded one save and 21 strikeouts.
