LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Ohio women's track and field team had a successful first day of competition at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational on Friday, April 25.
The major highlight of the day was senior
Taja Booker's (Simpsonville, S.C.) performance in the women's 200m. Booker ran a personal-best time of 23.95, recording the second-fast outdoor time in program history.
Freshmen
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) and
Jaclyn Garvey (Grand Blanc, Mich.) placed in the top 10 of the women's 800m. Stewart placed eighth (2:12.83) followed by Garvey in ninth place (2:13.76).
Two Bobcats recorded PR's in the women's 400m hurdles. Freshman
Ava Kincaid (Perrysburg, Ohio) finished with a PR of 1:02.68. Freshman
Elisabeth Franczyk (Washington, Pa.) finished with a PR of 1:04.13.
Sophomore
Eliza Streit (Plain City, Ohio) was Ohio's top finisher in the women's 5,000 meters. Streit placed fourth with a PR of 17:37.34.
The Bobcats will be back in action at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational on Saturday, April 26.
