COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Ohio women's golf team competed in the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, hosted by Ohio State from April 12–13 at the Ohio State University Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio. The Bobcats finished in twelfth place with a team score of 954 (+90), led by junior
Mackenzie McRee, who tied for 30th as the team's top performer.
No. 17 Ohio State (+2) won the event, followed by No. 25 Michigan State (+13), Kent State (+16) in third, Rutgers (+41) in fourth, and Indiana (+44) in fifth.
As a team, Ohio opened the first day with rounds of 327 and 321, before coming on Sunday to shoot a low round of 306.
Individually, McRee (Tucson, Arizona) led Ohio, recording rounds of 83 and 75 on day one, before finishing Sunday with a low of 74 for a total tournament score of 232 (+16).
Senior
Sydney Longstreth (Carmel, Ind.) was next, placing 36th after shooting scores of 81 and 81 on Saturday, before concluding the event with a low of 74 for a total of 236 (+20), while sophomore
Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio) placed 56th (81+82+80=243) and finishing 27-over.
Sophomore
Zoe Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished T-61st overall, opening the tournament with an 84, before finishing round two with a 83 and round three with a low of 79, finishing the weekend with a 246 (+30). Rounding out for the Bobcats, freshman
Ally Turner (Miamisburg, Ohio) earned a 65th-place finch, shooting an 82 and an 88 on day one, before finishing Sunday with a low of 79 for a three-round total of 249 (+33).
The Bobcats will be back in action April. 20-22 at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championship. The three-day event is hosted by Ball State in Muncie, Ind. at Delaware Country Club.
