RALEIGH, N.C. – The Ohio women's track & field team conclude its first day of competition at the Raleigh Relays on Friday, March 28.
Ohio kicked off the day with the women's 400m. Senior Taka Booker (Simpsonville, S.C.) led Ohio in the event with a personal-best time of 56.12 and finished in 35
th place. Sophomore
Elinor Shuttleworth (Beavercreek, Ohio) finished in 85
th place (58.28) and freshman
Ava Kincaid (Perrysburg, Ohio) followed behind in 88
th place (58.36, PR).
Three Bobcats competed in the women's 1500m. Sophomore
Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) ran an impressive PR of 4:27.42 and finished 86
th overall. Freshman
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) recorded a time of 4:34.88 and junior
Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) recorded a time of 4:35.78.
Ohio concluded the day with the women's 5,000 meters. Junior
Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio) led Ohio with a time of 16:30.07, placing 59
th in the event. Junior
Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.) finished right behind Boussedra, placing 60
th with a PR of 16:30.64. Senior
Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) ran a time of 16:55.11 and junior
Alyssa Mason ran a time of 17:11.56.
The Bobcats will be back in action at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday, March 29.
