Ohio Football Announces Mid-Year Roster Additions

ATHENS, Ohio— The Ohio football program announced its mid-year roster additions today (Feb. 5).

The Bobcats would like to welcome defensive lineman Nehemiah Dukes (Douglasville, Ga.), kicker David Dellenbach (Park City, Utah), quarterback Hype Grand, wide receiver Colton Grover (Phoenix, Ariz.), long snapper Nick Hemer (Pittsburgh, Pa.), defensive lineman Evan Herrman (Sussex, Wis.), defensive back Rickey Hyatt Jr. (Westerville, Ohio), wide receiver Alfred Jordan Jr. (St. Louis, Mo.), offensive tackle Ibrahim Kebe (Middletown, Ohio), defensive lineman Anas Luqman (Cincinnati, Ohio), defensive back Bobby Miller (Orlando, Fla.), defensive back Jaymar Mundy (Cincinnati, Ohio), wide receiver Rashad Perry (Fresno, Calif.) and offensive lineman Josh Waite (Roaring Spring, Pa.) to the 2025 roster.

Additionally, Ohio is excited to welcome two former Bobcats back to Athens: running back Sieh Bangura and cornerback Pierre Kemeni Jr. Bangura (Bowie, Md.) played an integral role in the offense from 2022-23, earning 2022 MAC Freshman of the Year accolades, while Kemeni (Milton, Ontario, Canada) was a member of the 2020 squad.

"Each of these athletes are fantastic additions to the 2025 squad," said Head Coach Brian Smith. "As we reload for spring camp and beyond, I have no doubt the incoming class will positively add to the program, both on and off the field."

The 2025 signing class boasts 26 student-athletes, including those who signed during the early signing period.

SIEH BANGURA

RB | 6-0 | 210 | Bowie, Md. | Minnesota/Ohio/DeMatha Catholic

2024 (Minnesota): Appeared in three games.

2023 (Ohio): Started 12 games for the Bobcats… Led the team on the ground with 178 carries, 811 yards, and 7 touchdowns… One-time MAC East Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 4)… Fourth team offense on the Phil Steele All-MAC Postseason Team.

2022 (Ohio): Started 12 games for the Bobcats… Led the team on the ground with 222 carries, 1078 yards, and 13 touchdowns… Two-time MAC East Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 10 and Oct. 17)… Named Freshman of Year in the MAC… Third Team All-MAC… CFN All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention.

2021 (Ohio): Played in four games for the Bobcats… Recorded 93 rushing yards on 12 attempts with two touchdowns… Scored touchdown on first-career carry against Central Michigan (Oct. 9).

High School: All-conference selection.

Personal: Born May 25, 2002 ... Son of Maseray Bangura ... Has two older brothers, Farama and Ismael

DAVID DELLENBACH

K | 6-2 | 180 | Park City, Utah | UCLA

UCLA (2024): Did not participate during his freshman season.

High School: Attended Park City High School in Park City, Utah... earned two varsity letters in football, and four varsity letters in soccer... first-team all-state choice.

Personal: Son of Hans and Sarah Dellenbach ... has two siblings, John and Elsa ... cites hitting a 58-yard field goal in high school as his greatest athletic thrill ... enjoys golf and fishing in his free time.

NEHEMIAH DUKES

Youngstown State (2024): Played in all 12 games ... Recorded one sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Youngstown State (2022-23): Saw action in six games in 2023...credited with a tackle...had a solo stop at Ohio State... Saw action in two games as a freshman in 2022...played against South Dakota and Dayton.

High School: Standout defensive lineman at Alexander High School...coach was Olten Downs.

Personal: Is the 2024-25 recipient of the Jermaine Hopkins Scholarship endowment, which is awarded to a Youngstown State hospitality management major, junior or senior, who exemplifies the career planning, community service, and academic dedication of Jermaine Hopkins

HYPE GRAND

QB | 6'0 | 180 | La Puente, Calif. | Pasadena HS

High School: Earned All CIF-Southern accolades following performances during the 2022 and 2023 seasons... Was also a track and field athlete.

Personal: Born Jan. 5, 2006... Son of Jasmine Potts and Cartier Grand... Has one older brother, Dominic, who plays cornerback at Pasadena City College... Favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys... Favorite athlete is Lamar Jackson... Enjoys playing chess in his spare time... Plans to major in applied biological sciences.

COLTON GROVER

South Dakota Mines (2024): Had 33 receptions for 451 yards and five touchdowns.

South Dakota Mines (2023): Appeared in eight games... Caught two passes for 29 yards... Returned one punt for 21 yards.

High School: Played two varsity seasons at Desert Vista High School... Recorded 22 receptions along with two touchdowns for a total of 349 yards in his senior season... Also competed in three years of track and field in high school.

Personal: Son of Dan and Kristin... His brother, Noah, played college football for the University of North Dakota and Slippery Rock University from 2018-2022.

NICK HEMER

EVAN HERRMAN

Vanderbilt: Member of the 2023 and 2024 squads.

High School: Rated a three-star prospect by On3 and 247Sports, with an 86.50 rating in the On3 Industry Composite... Ranked the No. 1 player in Wisconsin by On3... No. 56 edge player in the class, according to On3... Associated Press All-Wisconsin as a senior... Also played basketball and ran track... All-state honoree in 110-meter hurdles with a personal record of 14.94 seconds.

RICKEY HYATT JR.

South Alabama (2024): Appeared in 13 games for the Jaguars... recorded 29 tackles, including 14 solo stops, and two tackles-for-loss on the season.

South Alabama (2023): Played in 10 of South Alabama's 13 games on the season ... made nine tackles for the season, two of which were solo tackles ... made two tackles in three-consecutive games on the season; at James Madison, at ULM and against Southern Miss.

South Alabama (2022): Saw action in 12 games, with one start... Missed one game due to injury... Recorded 10 total tackles, including seven solo stops... Recorded a pair of tackles in four different games including against Louisiana Tech (9/24), Arkansas State (10/29), Georgia Southern (11/5), and Texas State (11/12)... Idaho State (2023): In his first season for the Bengals appeared in all 11 games... Had 479 receiving yards on 44 catches averaging 10.9 yards per reception... Scored three touchdowns in the 2023 season... Against Portland State (10/21) had a career-high 133 reception yards including his season-long reception of 55 yards...

IBRAHIM KEBE

Garden City CC (2023): Lettered for one season at Garden City Community College in 2023 … played in six games, recording 19 tackles, one interception and a pass breakup … recorded a season-high seven tackles against Hutchinson Community College … recorded six tackles against Snow College … had two tackles and an interception against Ellsworth … had three tackles and a PBU against Dodge City.

Texas State (2022): Redshirted in his only season in 2022 at Texas State.

Ohio (2020-21): Played two seasons at Ohio, the COVID 2020 season and 2021 … played in all three of Ohio's games in 2020, recording no stats … had 11 tackles in nine games in 2021 … had a career-high four tackles against Central Michigan … had two tackles against Syracuse and Northwestern … had single tackles against Duquense, Buffalo, and Kent State … also had a pass breakup against Duquesne.

Arkansas Pine Bluff: Played in 12 games during the 2024 season, logging 33 total tackles, eight tackles of loss and two sacks... In 2023, he recorded five tackles across five games as well 2.5 tackles for loss and sacks apiece... Appeared in nine games during his freshman campaign (2022)... Recorded 14 tackles, including eight solo stops, 5.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks... Also recorded three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

JAYMAR MUNDY

Western Kentucky (2024): Appeared in four games... Recorded five tackles, including four solo stops.

Hutchinson CC (2022-23): Mundy spent spending two seasons at Hutchinson Community College, where he was considered a three-star JuCo prospect by 247Sports... Played in 19 games over two seasons with the Blue Dragons with 21 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, an interception, and two pass breakups.

Miami (Ohio) (2021): Appeared in three games, recording two tackles.

High School: Captained the La Salle High School football team... Earned Second-Team All-State honors as a senior... Named his conference's Defensive Back of the Year that season after posting 45 tackles, eight pass breakups, and two interceptions... As a junior, Mundy earned Third-Team All-State honors after recording 50 tackles, 17 pass breakups, and six interceptions.

RASHAD PERRY

JOSH WAITE

Shippensburg (2024): Started all 11 games .. D2 Academic All-District.

Shippensburg (2023): Emerged as a regular starter on the Raider offensive line during his debut season…appeared in a total of ten games, making six starts at the guard and tackle positions…started at left tackle in the Raiders' Nov. 11 victory over Gannon.

Shippensburg (2022): Redshirted.

High School: Totaled three varsity letters for the Scarlet Dragons… Named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State First Team as a senior and the All-State Second Team as a junior… Earned All-Laurel Highlands Conference and All-Area First Team honors as a senior… Played in the East/West Game… Contributed to a team that reached the 3A State Semifinals… Served as a team captain… Was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and the American History Club… Classified on the high honor roll… Chosen to the National Football Foundation (NFF) National Team of Distinction… Recognized as a NFF Scholar Athlete…also earned a varsity letter in volleyball.
