MAC Announces Select 2026 Football Game Times and TV Selections

CLEVELAND—The Ohio football team announced select game times and television selections for its 2026 regular season schedule on Wednesday (May 27) in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference.

Ohio's 2026 non-conference schedule features one nationally televised game, taking on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 12 p.m. ET on FS1. The Bobcats will face their next two opponents in primetime slots: Saturday, Sept. 12, versus Jacksonville State at 6 p.m. ET and Saturday, Sept. 19, at South Alabama at 7 p.m. ET, both of which can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio rounds out its non-conference slate at home, hosting Stonehill on Saturday, Sept. 26; kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.

The Bobcats' conference schedule includes four nationally televised games, three of which air in primetime during "Midweek MACtion". On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Ohio hits the road to take on Akron at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2 or ESPNU. The team is set to remain on the road the following week, traveling to Oxford, Ohio, to clash with rival Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday, Nov. 10; kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN2, ESPNU, or CBSSN. The Bobcats will conclude the regular season on home turf, hosting Toledo at 12 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 27, on ESPNU or CBSSN.

The 30^th MAC Football Championship Game will be held on Saturday, December 5 (12 p.m. ET, ESPN) between the top two teams based on conference winning percentage. This will mark the 23rd MAC Football Championship Game at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions.

All remaining game times and television assignments will be announced 12 days before the scheduled game date. Games will air on ESPN platforms (ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPN+) and CBS Sports Network.

The Bobcats' 12-game slate features six games at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium, including four Saturdays. With first-year head coach John Hauser at the helm, Ohio is looking to continue its winning streak in Athens. The 13-game streak, which dates back to the 2023 season, is the Bobcats' longest home-game winning streak in program history. Notably, the program has won 40 games in four seasons (2022-25), 23 of which were on home turf. Additionally, Ohio has won its last four home openers, highlighted by a 17-10 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers (Sept. 6, 2025).

2026 Family Weekend includes Ohio's non-conference matchup against Stonehill (Sept. 26). The Bobcats' 2026 Homecoming game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, against Central Michigan.
