MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Ohio men's basketball team (13-12, 7-5 MAC) is back in action this week for two big MAC matchups in Athens. The week starts on Tuesday, Feb. 18 when Ohio takes on Central Michigan (11-14, 4-8 MAC). Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio then is back in the Convo on Saturday, Feb. 22 when the Bobcats host MAC-leading Akron (20-5, 13-0 MAC) for a nationally televised matchup. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN2.
Ohio is coming off of a 1-1 week that saw the Bobcats take down Bowling Green on the road, before falling to Kent State by one Friday night at Kent State. Graduate student guard Shereef Mitchell helped the Ohio men's basketball team this past week. Overall, Mitchell averaged 21.0 points and 2.5 rebounds a game. He went 13-of-19 (.684) from the field, 1-of-10 (.700) from three and was 9-of-9 from the line. He also averaged 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
Central Michigan enters the matchup with the Bobcats with an 11-14 overall record and a 4-8 mark in MAC play. CMU is coming off a three-point loss against Akron on Saturday. Meanwhile, Akron comes to Ohio with a 20-5 overall record and a 13-0 mark in MAC play. Akron has won 13 games in a row and will take on Northern Illinois at home before headed to Athens.

Ohio women's basketball (4-18, 2-10 MAC) is back in action for two more MAC games this week starting on Wednesday, Feb. 19 when the Bobcats host Northern Illinois (12-12, 5-7 MAC). Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+. Ohio then is back on the road on Saturday, Feb. 22 when Ohio heads to Akron, Ohio to take on Akron (9-16, 3-9 MAC). Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a hard-fought loss against Buffalo on Saturday in the Convo. Sophomore Bailey Tabeling paced the Bobcats' offense with 19 points, shooting an efficient 7-of-10 from the field and 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. She also contributed three assists and three steals. Graduate student Anyssa Jones added 12 points, knocking down two three-pointers and going 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. Senior Kate Dennis was perfect from the floor, scoring 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting, including two three-pointers..
NIU comes to Ohio with a 12-12 overall record and a 5-7 mark in MAC play. The Huskies are coming off a win at Western Michigan on Saturday. Akron is 9-16 overall with a 3-9 record in MAC play and are coming off a loss at Toledo on Saturday and will take on Miami on Wednesday before coming to Athens.
MEN'S GOLF

Ohio men's golf opens the spring portion of their schedule this week, heading to Mesquite, Nev. Feb. 16-18 for the 2025 Mesquite Desert Classic at the CasaBlanca Golf Club. The three-day event will begin with 18 homes on Sunday, Feb. 16, with round two on Monday, Feb. 17, with the third and final round set to take place on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Competing in this year's event are: Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Ohio, Idaho, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Bellarmine, Utah Valley, Seattle, Utah Tech, Cal Poly and Bowling Green.
Individually, Sam Hogan, Will Kates, Nathaniel Gray Lamont, Jack Neville and Mat Daulton will compete for the Bobcats.
Ohio last competed Oct. 25-27 at the 2024 White Sands Beach Bahamas Invite, where the Bobcats placed 11th overall.
WOMEN'S GOLF

The Ohio women's golf team is back in action Feb. 21-23 at the 2025 Rio Verde Invitational hosted by Western Michigan at the Rio Verde Country Club in Rio Verde, Ariz. The three-day event will begin Friday, Feb. 21 with 18 holes, with the second round set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 22. Ohio's weekend will wrap up with the final 18 holes set to be played on Sunday, Feb. 23.
Competing in the event is; Central Michigan, Loyola, Cal State Northridge, Xavier, Bowling Green, South Dakota, Wichita State, Oakland, Akron, Ball State, Western Michigan, Kennesaw State, Creighton, Cal Baptist, Missouri State, Utah Tech, Ohio, Illinois State, Bradley and Butler.
Ohio is coming off a ninth-place finish at the 2025 Advance Golf Partners Collegiate Feb. 9-11. The Bobcats recorded an overall score of 906 (+42), with sophomore Zoe Luebbers leading the Bobcats with a tie for 16th place.

The Ohio softball team (5-4) is back in action Feb. 21-23 at the 2025 Low Country Classic hosted by College of Charleston at the Softball Field at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The weekend begins on Friday, Feb. 21 when Ohio takes on Dartmouth (0-5) at 10 a.m. ET for the first game of the day, before returning to the diamond at 12:20 p.m. ET to take on Rhode Island (0-0). Ohio and Dartmouth will face off again on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12:30 p.m. ET, before wrapping up the day with host Charleston (2-6) at 5:30 p.m. ET. Ohio will then wrap up the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 23 against College of Charleston at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Ohio is coming off a 1-4 weekend at at the Bear Down Fiesta hosted by Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. Ohio defeated South Alabama, 3-2, on Saturday, thanks to a late-inning two-run homerun from junior Shelby Westler, helping the Bobcats to victory.
Dartmouth enters the weekend with an 0-5 mark and is coming off a loss to Villanova Sunday morning in Boca Raton, Fla. Rhode Island will begin the season against the Bobcats, with the Rams' tournament in South Carlonia last weekend canceled due to weather. Meanwhile, College of Charleston is currently 2-6 overall and are coming off a 6-4 win over Marshall on Saturday. Charleston will take on Queens on Wednesday before the Low Country Classic begins. Former Bobcat Austy Miller now players for Charleston.

The Ohio baseball team (0-3) is back in action Feb. 21-23 when they head to Carrollton, Ga. to take on West Georgia (2-1). The Bobcats and the Wolves will begin the three-game series on Friday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. ET at Cole Field. The two teams are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. ET, before wrapping up the series on Sunday, Feb. 23 with the series finale set to start at 12 p.m. ET. All three games will take place at Cole Field and can be seen on the West Georgia Athletics website.
Ohio is coming off a hard fought opening weekend at Wofford. Graduate Student Trenton Neuer finished the weekend with a .667 batting averages, with six hits, two doubles and five RBI.
West Georgia is 2-1 overall to start the season, taking to games of the three game series against New Orleans last weekend.
WRESTLING

The Ohio wresting team (7-4, 5-2 MAC) concludes the 2025 regular season on Sunday, Feb. 23 when they head to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Buffalo (4-12, 2-4 MAC). The dual is set to begin at 1 p.m. ET inside Alumni Arena and can be seen on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a loss at SIUE on Friday night. Redshirt senior Jordan Greer emerged victorious in the heavyweight class after a hard-fought matchup against Bryson Buhk, with both wrestlers battling fiercely until the final seconds of the third period. Greer clinched the victory with an 8-6 decision.
Buffalo is 4-12 overall and has a 2-4 mark in MAC duals. The Bulls are coming off a loss to Binghampton on Sunday in Buffalo.
