HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – The Ohio women's track & field team concluded its first day of competition at the Marshall Invitational on Friday, Feb. 14.
 
Five Bobcats competed in the women's weight throw. Freshmen 
Ashley Cornathan (Hilliard, Ohio), 
Remy Hartford (Toledo, Ohio) and 
Lily Barnes (Frankfort, Ohio) placed in sixth, seventh and eighth place, respectively. Cornathan finished with a mark of 13.99 meters (45-10.75) while Hartford (13.20m/43-3.75, PR) and Barnes (12.86m/42-2.25, PR) both recorded personal-best marks in the event. Freshman 
Lauren Mader (Green Bay, Wis.) came in 11
th in the event (12.45m/40-10.25, PR), followed by freshman 
Josie Kleinhenz in 13
th place (11.97m/39-3.25, PR).
 
Freshman 
Kami Ayoup (Copley, Ohio) and 
Alex Kessen (Delphos, Ohio) competed for Ohio in the women's long jump. Ayoup placed sixth (5.25m/17-2.75, PR) and Kessen placed seventh (4.98m/16-4.25, PR) in the event.
 
Freshman 
Elisabeth Franczyk (Washington, Pa.) took home second in the women's triple jump with a personal-best mark of 11.26 meters (36-11.5).
 
The Bobcats will be back in action at the Marshall Invitational and David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 15.
