SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Junior
Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.) led the Ohio women's track & field team on day two of the Meyo Invitational with a new indoor school record in the women's mile. Martin placed 10
th with a personal-best time of 4:46.64.
Five other Bobcats competed in the women's mile. Junior
Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) and senior
Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio) finished in 16
th and 17
th place, respectively. Mason ran a time of 4:451.12 and Harris recorded a personal-best time of 4:51.17. Freshman
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) finished 28
th (4:55.56, PR), junior
Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) finished 32
nd (4:58.80) and junior
Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio) finished 38
th (5:02.77).
Sophomore
Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) and freshman
Jaclyn Garvey (Grand Blanc, Mich.) competed in the mid distance events for Ohio. Greenwell placed sixth in the women's 800m with a PR of 2:11.87. Garvey finished 19
th in the women's 400m with a time of 59.29.
The Bobcats will be back in action at the Gem City Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8.
