BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Ohio men's and women's cross country teams earned top five team finishes and had four athlete receive All-MAC honors at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1. The women's team placed second overall behind Toledo with 62 points. The men's team finished fifth overall with 103 points.
Graduate student
Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio) led a group of four Bobcats who earned All-MAC honors. Harris recorded her best finish yet at the conference meet, placing sixth (20:56.0) and earning a spot on the All-MAC First Team. Senior

Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.) and junior
Andrew Bracken (Westerville, Ohio) all earned a spot on the women's and men's All-MAC Second Team.
Ohio kicked off the championships with the men's 8k race. Bracken was the first Bobcat to cross the finish line, placing ninth with a time of 24:33.21. Sophomore
Michael Dellasanta (Columbus, Ohio) and senior
Sam Beeler (Cincinnati, Ohio) rounded out the top 25 of the men's race. Dellasanta came in 18
th place (24:56.1) and Beeler took home 22
nd place (25:04.9).
Junior
Nick Kennedy (Hurricane, W. Va.) and graduate student
Connor Wertman (Uniontown, Ohio) were the next two Bobcats to cross the finish line. Kennedy finished in 26
th place (25:11.5) and Wertman finished in 28
th place (25:14.5, PR). The final three finishers for Ohio were senior
Alex Zuckett (Canton, Ohio), freshman
Tate Ruthers (Thornville, Ohio) and junior
Charlie Slates (Gahanna, Ohio). Zuckett finished in 39
th place (25:30.9), Ruthers finished in 45
th place (25:44.1) and Slates finished in 76
th place (26:54.4).
In addition to Harris, Boussedra and Martin earned All-MAC honors for their performances in the women's 6k race. The two seniors crossed the finish line consecutively with Boussedra placing eighth (21:01.0) and Martin placing ninth (21:02.2). Two more Bobcats placed within the top 25 runners. Senior
Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) came in 18
th place with a time of 21:21.6 and sophomore
Kaitlyn Stewart (Floyd Knobs, Ind.) placed 22
nd with a time of 21:22.8.
Sophomore
Mairin O'Brien (Lewis Center, Ohio) and junior
Eliza Streit (Plain City, Ohio) finished consecutively in 38
th and 39
th place. O'Brien ran a PR of 21:55.2 and Streit ran a PR of 21:56.6. Graduate student
Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) followed behind in 48
th place, recording a time of 22:10.7. Sophomore
Reece Savage (Johnstown, Ohio) and junior
Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) were Ohio's final two finishers. Savage finished in 52
nd place (22:16.2) and Greenwell finished in 53
rd place (22:17.8).
The Bobcats will be back in action at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Friday, Nov. 14 in Evansville, Ind.
