Port Clinton, Ohio – The Ohio Women's Golf Team traveled to Port Clinton, Ohio, to compete in the 2025 Rocket Classic, hosted by the University of Toledo, on October 6-7 at the Catawba Island Club. The Bobcats' lineup consisted of junior

Katie Husted (Columbus, Ohio) competed individually for the Bobcats. Husted, Rodgers, McRee, and Luebbers all placed inside the top 10, which helped Ohio secure the first-place victory at the 2025 Rocket Classic. The Bobcats have won the Rocket Classic in back-to-back years
Day two of the 2025 Rocket Classic was canceled due to unsafe playing conditions caused by the weather.
Ohio took home the tournament victory (+37), followed by Indiana State University (+38) and the University of Toledo (+41) to round off the top three finishes.
As a team, Ohio opened day one, shooting a 312 (+24), finishing the first round in third place. The Bobcats were able to bounce back in the second round, shooting a 301 (+13) that propelled them into first place to finish out day one. With the rainy conditions, day two of the Classic was canceled, leading Ohio to the overall victory. Ohio finished with an overall score of 613 (+37).
Individually, Husted led the Bobcats on the scoreboard, recording a round one score of 76 (+4), putting her tied for third going into the second round. In the second round, Husted shot a 72 (E), finishing the round in second place overall. Husted finished the classic with an overall score of 148 (+4).
Rodgers finished behind Husted in fourth place overall. Rodgers shot an opening round score of 76 (+4), which placed her tied for third going into the second round of play. During the second round, Rodgers shot a 74 (+2), which gave her an overall score of 150 (+6) at the Classic.
McRee placed fifth overall, shooting a round one score of 75 (+3). McRee finished round one tied for sixth place. In round two, McRee had a score of 76 (+4), giving her an overall score of 151 (+7) to finish out the day and ultimately the Classic.
Luebbers was the final Bobcat to finish in the top 10 overall, finishing the Rocket Classic tied for sixth place. Luebbers shot a round one score of 78 (+6) and shot a second-round score of 74 (+2), giving her an overall score of 152 (+8) for the tournament.
Turner placed tied for 15
th place after two rounds of play. In the opening round, Turner shot an 83 (+11) and shot a 77 (+5) in the second round, giving her an overall score of 160 (+16) for the tournament.
Wharff finished the Rocket Classic in 29
th place, with a round one score of 86 (+14) and a second-round score of 83 (+11), giving her an overall score of 169 (+25).
The Bobcats are back on the course on October 13-14
th in Kettering, Ohio, at the 2025 Dayton Flyer Invitational, hosted by Dayton University, at the NCR-South Course.
