NASSAU, Bahamas – The Ohio Women's Golf Team traveled to the Bahamas to tee off in the White Sands Invitational, hosted by Northern Illinois University, on October 24-26, at The Oceans Golf Club – Paradise Island. All eight Bobcats competed in the Invitational with junior
Zoe Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio), senior
Mackenzie McRee (Tucson, Ariz.), freshman
Katie Husted (Columbus, Ohio), junior
Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio), and sophomore
Ally Turner (Miamisburg, Ohio) starting, and senior
Alaina Nugent (Fortville, Ind.), freshman
Paige Treherne (Cincinnati, Ohio), and sophomore
Saylor Wharff (Marietta, Ohio) competing as individuals. Luebbers was Ohio's top finisher, finishing the Invitational in 16
th place.
Miami University (+35) finished the White Sands Invitational in first place, followed by the University of South Florida (+40), High Point University (+50), Middle Tennessee University (+56), and the host of Northern Illinois University (+74) to round out the top five finishers.
As a team, Ohio started day one off shooting 313 (+25), finishing the day tied for fifth place. Coming out on day 2, the Bobcats shot a 321 (+33) and were going into the third round sitting in sixth place. In the final round, Ohio shot a 318 (+30) and wrapped up the Invitational in sixth place overall.
Individually, Luebbers led the Bobcats on the green, recording a round one score of 76 (+4), and ended the day tied for 10
th place. In round two, Luebbers shot a 79 (+7) and finished the round tied for 17
th place. During the third round, Luebbers shot a 76 (+4) and finished the Invitational in 16
th place with an overall score of 231 (+15).
McRee finished the Invitational right behind Luebbers, placing tied for 18
th place. In round one, McRee shot a 77 (+5) and was tied for 12
th going into day two. In the second round, McRee shot a 78 (+6), which placed her tied for 17
th place with Luebbers. On the final day of the Invitational, McRee shot a 78 (+6), finishing the invitational with an overall score of 233 (+17).
Rodgers finished the tournament tied for 26
th place overall, shooting a round one score of 80 (+8), and went into day two tied for 26
th place. Rodgers shot an 82 (+10) in round two, and had a round three score of 77 (+5), finishing the Invitational with an overall score of 239 (+23).
Treherne competed individually for the Bobcats and finished the tournament tied for 28
th place. In round one, Treherne shot a 79(+7) and finished the day in a tie for 24
th place. Treherne came out of the second round shooting a 79 (+7), moving up to 23
rd place going into day three. In the final round, Treherne shot an 83 (+11) and finished with an overall score of 241 (+25).
Turner shot a round one score of 80 (+8) and was tied for 26
th place with Rodgers. In the second round, Turner shot a score of 82 (+10) and finished round three shooting an 88 (+16). Turner finished the Invitational in 32
nd place with an overall score of 250 (+34).
Wharff shot a round one score of 91 (+19), a second-round score of 82 (+10), and a third-round score of 78 (+6), finishing the Invitational in 33
rd place with an overall score of 251 (+35).
Nugent finished the Invitational tied for 35
th place, with an overall score of 253 (+37). Nugent shot an 85 (+13) in the first round, an 85 (+13) in the second round, and shot an 83 (+11) in the third round.
Husted started the opening round shooting an 80 (+8), shot a second-round score of 89 (+17), and a third-round score of 87 (+15), finishing the Invitational in 39
th place with an overall score of 256 (+41).
The Bobcats end their fall season in the Bahamas and return to the course on February 20-22 at the 2026 Rio Verde Collegiate hosted by Western Michigan at Rio Verde Country Club, Rio Verde, Arizona.
