CLEVELAND, Ohio – Senior
Kendall White (Gahanna, Ohio) has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Volleyball Setter of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday, Oct. 13.
White was the backbone of Ohio's offense as the Bobcats went 3-0 against MAC opponents this week. As Ohio's main setter, White compiled 123 assists, averaging 12.30 assists through 10 sets of competition. She also recorded six kills, two aces, 35 digs (3.50), 7.0 blocks, and 12.0 points.
White was vital as the Bobcats earned their first MAC win of the season. In the team's 3-0 win at Kent State on Tuesday, White had 29 assists, two aces, nine digs, 5.0 blocks, and 7.0 points.
White was once again a top performer in Ohio's 3-0 sweep over Miami on Friday. The senior led the team with 46 assists on 88 total attacks. White also recorded seven digs, one block, and 1.5 points.
The senior was a standout player for Ohio as they concluded the week with a 3-1 victory over Miami on Saturday. White recorded a double-double with 48 assists and a season-high 19 digs. She also finished with three kills, one block, and 3.5 points.
White and the Bobcats will be back in action when they host Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. ET. The game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
