WESTFIELD, Ind. – The Ohio Men's Golf team finished the second round of the 2024 Mid-American Conference Men's Golf Championships this afternoon (Apr. 27). After two rounds, the Bobcats are in ninth and led individually by senior Jack Neville (Terrace Park, Ohio).
As a team, the Bobcats finished the day with a score of 308 (+20). In first place as a team, Ball State took the lead while Miami dropped to second. Individually, Toledo's Barend Botha remains in the lead after a round of 66 (-6), and is eleven-under.
Neville remains as Ohio's top golfer after the second day. The senior finished with a round of 75 (+3) to enter the final day tied for 21st.
Junior Sam Hogan (Burlington, Canada) is second out of Bobcat golfers. The Canadian had a round of 77 (+5) and is currently sitting in a tie for 34th.
Sophomore Will Kates (Centennial, Colo.) is in a tie for 36th after the second round. Kates had a second round of 76 (+4) to climb his way up the leaderboard.
In fourth for the Bobcats, junior Matt Daulton (Lebanon, Ohio) is in 40th. The junior had an 80 (+8) in the second round.
Rounding out the lineup for the Bobcats, sophomore Carson Trafford is in tie for 41st. Trafford had an 81 (+9) in the second round.
The Bobcats will look to climb the leaderboard in the third and final round tomorrow morning.
