ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio wrestling team added two to its 2025-26 signing class head coach Joel Greenlee announced on Wednesday (Nov. 13). Joining the Bobcats next season are Dominic Serio and Zak Zindle.Â
"This will not be a large recruiting class, but it will be a class with highly talented individuals. We will not lose much for next year so this class is about building for the future," Greenlee said. "Both of these guys will elevated the talent level in our room."
Dominic SerioÂ
Serio attended West Aurora High School where he was a two-time IHSA State champion and three-time conference champion. He holds an 106-18 record representing West Aurora. He also wrestled for Spar Wrestling Academy Illinois. Serio is the No. 20 ranked prospect on MatScouts in the 150-pound class.Â
"Serio wrestles at a high pace and will be a fan-favorite here at Ohio. Dom has had great success at every level he has wrestled at, he is a special talent, his explosiveness is very rare," Greenlee said.
Zak ZindleÂ
Zindle amassed a 45-18 record while attending The Hill School. He is a two-time National Prep qualifier and earned fourth place at the NHSCA meet. He is also a Pap Prep finalist and My House Trojan Wars medalist.Â
"Zindle is one of those diamond-in-the-rough type guys. He had last season cut short by injury, so not a lot of people know about him. He is a very talented and explosive wrestler," Greenlee said.Â
