
Boussedra Leads Ohio Women's Track & Field with First Place Finish at PSU National Open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio) led the Ohio women's track and field team with a first-place and personal-best time of 9:41.56 in the 3,000 meters on the final day of competition at the Penn State National Open.

Junior Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio) competed with Boussedra in the 3,000 meters. Harris placed fourth with a personal-best time of 9:45.20.

The distance medley relay team comprised of sophomore Allie Martin (Kingwood, W. Va.), freshman Ella Baker (Amherst, Ohio), sophomore Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) and sophomore Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) placed fourth with a time of 11:37.02.

Freshman Elinor Shuttleworth (Beavercreek, Ohio) competed in the 600m and ran a personal-best time of 1:37.46.

Junior Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) raced into the 3,000 meters invite. Hagey finished with a time of 9:44.28.

The Bobcats will be back in action at the Akron Invitational on Friday, Feb. 2.
