
Women's Track & Field Finishes First Day of Competition at PSU National Open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Ohio women's track and field team concluded its first day of competition at the Penn State National Open on Friday, Jan. 26.
Freshman Emilee Baumann (Powell, Ohio) started the meet off for Ohio with an 11th place mark of 3.50 meters (11-5.75) in the pole vault.
Sophomore Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) placed 21st in the mile with a time of 4:49.31. Sophomore Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) recorded a personal-best time of 4:59.39 in the mile.
Ohio's first day at the PSU National Open concluded with the women's 5,000 meters. Graduate student Carina Weaver (Lexington, Ohio) led the Bobcats with a fifth-place and personal-best time of 17:37.72.
The Bobcats will conclude competition at the Penn State National Open on Saturday, Jan. 27. Ohio will begin competition with the women's 600m at 11 a.m. ET.
