
Ohio Men's Golf is Led by Sam Hogan in the RedHawk Intercollegiate

Pittsburgh, PA-- The Ohio Men's Golf team competed in the RedHawk Intercollegiate earlier this week (4/18). The Bobcats placed 12th overall in the Pittsburgh based tournament playing on a 71 par course. The two day tournament consisted of three rounds, with Ohio shooting a total of 908 (+56). The Bobcats shot a 299 in round one, a 306 in round two and finished out with a 303 in the third and final round.
The Bobcats were led by Sam Hogan (Burlington, Canada), coming in 16th place out of nearly 100 golfers. Hogan shot a 72 in round one, a 74 in round two, and finished with a 75 to give him a final score of 221 (+8). Will Kates (Centennial, Colorado) followed for Ohio in 52nd finishing the Intercollegiate with a combined score of 229 (+16). Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio) was next with a final score of 233 (+20) to put him in 63rd place. Finishing out for the Bobcats was Sheil Iyer in 77th place with a total score of 240 (+27).
Overall, Marquette University took first place in the tournament with a combined score of 872. Individually, Cole Ekert from University of Richmond took first place at the intercollegiate shooting an impressive 212 (-1).

The Ohio men's golf team will continue their 2023 season at the Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. The tournament will stretch for three days, and round one will tee-off on April 21st.
