
Ohio Men's Golf Finishes 17th in the Ross Collegiate Classic

SOUTHERN PINES, NC-- The Ohio Men's Golf team traveled to North Carolina to play in the Ross Collegiate Classic. Ohio competed in three rounds, coming out with a final score of 906 (+42) and placing 17th overall. In Ohio's first round (3/13), the team shot a 298 followed by a 303 in the second round and finished with a 305 in the third and final round (3/14).Individually, Sam Hogan (Burlington, Canada) led the Bobcats shooting 221(+5) and placing 27th overall. Will Kates (Centennial, Colorado), followed in 57th place for Ohio with 227 (+11). Jack Neville (Terrace Park, Ohio) was next in 68th place, shooting 230 (+14). Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio) finished in 71st with a score of 231 (+15) and finishing out for Ohio was Matt Daulton (Lebanon, Ohio) in 90th, shooting 244 (+28).
Overall, South Florida took first place in the tournament with a combined score of 849 (-15), shooting 283 in all 3 rounds.
Individually, Jakub Hrinda from George Washington came in first place at the Collegiate Classic shooting an impressive 203 (-13). Timmy Crawford from Loyola University of Chicago was close behind with a final score of 205 (-11).
Up Next:
The Ohio men's golf team will return to North Carolina next week to play in the ECU Intercollegiate Classic. The tournament will be held in Greenville, NC and will stretch for two days. Round one will tee-off on March 20th.
