
Ohio Men's Golf Takes 13th in the ECU Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, NC-- The Ohio Men's Golf team traveled to North Carolina this Monday 3/20) to play in the ECU Intercollegiate. The two day tournament consisted of three rounds, landing Ohio in 13th place with a final score of 916 (+52).Individually, Sam Hogan (Burlington, Canada) led the Bobcats shooting 221(+5) and placing 12th overall. Jack Neville (Terrace Park, Ohio) and Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio) came in next tied in 58th, both shooting a 232 (+16). Sitting in 61st place for the Bobcats was Will Kates (Centennial, Colorado) with a final score of 233 (+17). Finishing out for Ohio's team score was Joshua Dinouard (Vevey, Switzerland), shooting a 241 (+25) to put him in 85th.
Competing as an individual from Ohio was freshman Sheil Iyer (Dublin, Ohio), who accumulated a score of 251 (+35) over the two day tournament, finishing in 95th place.
Overall, East Carolina took first place in the tournament with a combined score of 882 (+18), shooting 300 in round 1, 289 in round 2, and finishing out in round 3 with a 293.
Individually, Lucas Augustsson from East Carolina came in first place at the intercollegiate shooting an impressive 213 (-3). Mitchell Vance from Francis Marion was close behind with a final score of 214 (-2).

The Ohio men's golf team will continue their 2023 season at the Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The tournament will stretch for three days, and round one will tee-off on March 27th.
