COLUMBUS, Ohio – Select members of the Ohio swimming team wrapped up competition this weekend (Feb. 10-12) at the Ohio State Winter Invitational inside McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Friday night's finals began with junior
Cecelia Creviston (Cincinnati, Ohio) placing 11
th overall in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 5:08.08. Junior
Gabrielle Loring (Hudson, Ohio) finished 12
th, touching in with a time of 5:08.66.
In the 200-yard IM, freshman
Alexandra Wayner finished 11
th overall with a time of 2:06.05, while Loring was back in action, finishing 12
th with a time of 2:08.10. Meanwhile, in the 50-yard freestyle race, junior
Mollie Brackett (Appleton, Wis) finished eight with a time of 23.92, while Wayner placed 14
th in 24.24.
In the Saturday finals, Loring was back in action on the 400-yard IM, placing fifth overall with a time of 4:31.22. Meanwhile, Brackett placed eight in the 200-yard freestyle, touching in with a time of 1:51.59. In the same event, freshman
Peyton Binns (Hudson, Ohio) placed 15
th (1:54.25), while Creviston finished 16
th in 1:58.81.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, Wayner finished fifth in 1:04.18, while Binns finished 18
th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.75.
In Sunday's finals, Creviston placed fifth in the 1650 freestyle, finishing in 18:01.17, while Binns placed 14
th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.98.
