Athens, Ohio – Not only is it finals week in Athens, it's also Bowl Week for Ohio football! Check out everything that's ahead for Ohio Athletics in this week's Paw Prints.

FOOTBALL

The Ohio football team (9-3, 6-2 MAC) is set to take on Georgia Southern (6-6, 3-5 SBC) in the Myrtle Beach Bowl on Dec. 16. Kickoff is set for 11:00 AM ET at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C. The game can be seen on ESPN with Drew Carter, Dustin Fox, and Stormy Buonantony on the call.

The Myrtle Beach Bowl will be the first time the Bobcats and Eagles have faced each other. The Bobcats hold a record of 34-28-6 against Sun Belt competition. Excluding games played against Marshall, Ohio is 1-7 in games against Sun Belt foes.

Georgia Southern is 5-2 against Mid-American Conference opponents. This is the second consecutive year the Eagles will play a MAC program in a bowl game. Last year, Georgia Southern lost to Buffalo in the Camellia Bowl.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

After a week off for finals, the Ohio women's basketball team (2-5) is back in action on Sunday, Dec. 17 when the Bobcats host Indiana State (4-4). Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+.

Ohio freshman Bailey Tabeling is coming off a career-high performance against Syracuse on Dec. 9, scoring 23 points, while going 7-of-9 from three, a program-best from a true freshman.

WRESTLING
Dec. 16 / vs Drexel / Vincent, Ohio / Warren Local High School / 6 p.m. EST

Ohio wrestling is back in action this weekend when they head to Vincent, Ohio on Saturday, Dec. 16 to take on Drexel. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Warren Local High School.

The Bobcats are coming off a matchup with Navy. The Bobcats were led by strong efforts from freshman Dominic Hoffarth (Waynesburg, Ohio), redshirt sophomore Peyten Kellar (Cutler, Ohio), junior Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio), and junior Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio).
